Just a quick update to share with you the below video which we received from our manufacturers in China over the weekend.
In this video you will see the first fully manufactured Slinger Ball Tube along with our packing designs. Our man on the ground in China says they look, feel and work great! We have a sample on the way to us for live testing on the court.
The packaging seen in this video may not be final as we may make a few changes to ensure the safety of the product in shipping.
The ball tube is obviously much less complex than the launcher and as such, the process takes less time. Once we have videos of the fully functional launcher as well as the rotating platform, we will share those with you as well.

Manufacturing + The Coach’s Corner

Slingers,
We just wanted to check in to let you all know that everything is moving according to plan and that as of now we are still on track for our delivery timeline. We hope to make a trip to China in the next few weeks to visit the factories and personally oversee some of the work. If we do, expect to see some pictures and videos from the factory!
Being that we are starting actual manufacturing, we are putting in the final orders and as such, the refund link has been closed. Once manufacturing has been completed and we share the final specs, pictures, videos, etc… with all of you, we may make the refund option available again. You will also be able to order any additional add-ons that you may want prior to shipping.
As we begin preparing to deliver and shortly after, enter the global market, we have been in contact with some major names in tennis. Coaches, players, owners of companies, scouts, distributors, etc… and they all love Slinger Bag. With each day that passes, as we get closer to delivery, our excitement grows. We can’t wait!
The Coach’s Corner
For the past few months, we have been working on something that we have been calling “The Coach’s Corner”. The Coach’s Corner is going to be a members only area of our website which will contain video content created by some of the world's leading coaches and players, exclusively for Slinger Bag customers.
The Coaches will be working with our creative team, under the leadership of a world renowned leader in tennis (more on that soon) to develop exclusive video content, detailing Slinger Bag-specific training and practice drills designed to improve specific elements of anyone's game and on-court movement.
The video content that we will be creating will be rated and accessible to players of every skill level, ensuring maximum use and enjoyment from your Slinger Bag.
In future updates we will get into more details about the coaches and more of what they will be doing. In the meantime, if you have any ideas or something specific that you would like to see from a coach, or even a specific coach that you would like to see, let us know in the comments below. We have just begun creating the outline and plan for our first videos and would love your input.

Exciting News!

We have some very exciting news to share with you today. But before getting into that, I would like to address a key point raised by many of you regarding our manufacturing and delivery schedule.
The factories that we will be working with in China (as with all other Chinese factories) have been closed for the past few weeks due to the Chinese New Year. They will be re-opening later this week and our product team will be working closely with them to put a detailed production plan in place and start the manufacturing process. We should know more specific information about this plan within the next week or two and will share the details in our next update.
Ok, now for the news!
During our recent trip to ISPO, we gained a lot of insight, met amazing people and got some great feedback from players, retailers and distributors, both on and off the courts. One person in particular who we met and took to the court with us was Mike Ballardie, the former CEO of Prince Sports. Prior to his running Prince, Mike also ran Wilson’s EMEA Racquet Sport division for 11 years. Needless to say, his knowledge of the tennis world is extensive, and his feedback and input about Slinger Bag was priceless to us.
After an initial meeting with our team, we took Slinger Bag to the court for the moment of truth. Mike tested Slinger Bag and had a few other people on the court try it as well to hear their feedback. Mike loved it and we quickly got to speaking about how we can get him involved in our Slinger Bag company. Having someone like Mike involved is a dream for a small startup like ours.
Fast forward a couple of weeks and, as of last week, Mike has officially joined Slinger Bag as our new CEO.
In the Press Release that will be released tomorrow, Mike is quoted as saying “The opportunity to lead Slinger Bag as its CEO is both a tremendous honor and a privilege. Slinger Bag is an innovation that can both change the face of tennis and stimulate tennis participation irrespective of age or ability. Together, we will fill a large, untapped gap in the tennis marketplace.”
Needless to say, this vote of confidence in the product is huge for us and within days, Mike has already opened doors for us that we could never have imagined getting into so quickly. We look forward to realizing the potential of Slinger Bag together with Mike.
But there’s one part of this story that I left out, and that is each of you. None of this would have happened if it was not for your support. After hearing about Slinger from a friend, Mike googled us and saw the success of this campaign. He saw what people have been saying on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc… and it is only because of the support that YOU have shown us, that we are here today. Your support brought us to his door and the product opened it wide.
For a bit more fun news, a few months ago we had asked all of you to introduce us to relevant people in the tennis world that you know. Through one of those introductions, a third introduction was made to Adi Spiegelman, one of the top 5 players in Israel. Aside from being an amazing and very passionate tennis player, Adi is also a model for Babolat Israel, and has also done work with Swarovski, Vogue and other major brands.
We invited her to the court last week to take a swing at Slinger Bag and she loved it. She was blown away by its size and portability and felt that a product like ours will greatly enhance her training. Pictures Below.
