Slingers!
I am writing to provide with one of the last updates following your incredible support for the Slinger Bag crowdfunding campaign. With the exception of backers in the following markets - Australia, Korea and Taiwan - all backers should have received their Slinger product packages by now and are enjoying them on courts around the world.
We have already received tremendous feedback from across the globe from backers who have received, unboxed and been on court with their new Slinger products. Thank you again for your support and please continue to send us your photos, videos and favorite drills to [email protected] so that we can share them with your fellow Slingers!
We’ve also seen Slinger find it’s way to many pros including Tommy Haas, Kevin Anderson, Jamie Murray, Gaby Paz and many others! In fact we have provided Slingers to 12 of the top 20 ATP players!
For our backers in Australia your products are finally en-route to Australia to our new distribution partners who will provide the final delivery to you in the middle part of September. You have been sent a separate communication about this within the coming days.
For our Backers in Korea we are continuing to work to identify a distributor in your market to allow us to import these goods into the market. Without a distribution partner we cannot obtain the necessary Korean certification to sell electrical products in the market. Again we will keep you updated on our progress in this regard. Please appreciate that significant delays have also occurred as a result of the Covid pandemic.
For our Backers in Taiwan your Slinger products are now Slinging their way to your market and should be with you before the end of August. You will also receive some specific communication about this in the coming days.

Warranty Registration + Update

I hope this email finds your families healthy and safe during these challenging times.
The development of your Slinger products has been a long and winding road but together we’ve done it!! Over the past few weeks we have heard back from many of you following your Slinger delivery and testing and overall your feedback has been awesome. Thank you for being an important part of this journey!
Virtually all of our backer deliveries have either been made or are currently in transit. The most remote markets such as Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Mid east and India have proved the most complicated to deliver to and these deliveries are now being processed via our newly appointed market distributors. Backers in these areas will be receiving email notifications once their unit ships.
My team at Slinger has been receiving a few questions so below I have tried to summarise these into common topics and have done our best to clarify some points in this update.
Firstly an important update on your Slinger warranty.
The Slinger warranty website is now live and you are now able to login and register your warranty to extend your one-year warranty to a three-year warranty by clicking the link below. Make sure to have your serial number handy. The serial number is found on the side of the bag right above the elevation knob.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Can we adjust the topspin? The amount of topspin generated can be managed by altering the ball speed and elevation angle settings to find a launch sequence that works best for your game. Slinger is also easily moved on the court and we suggest testing varying court placements to find the best mix of placement, speed, angle and ball frequency for your level of play.
I am hearing a beep and my Slinger Bag is not launching. What do I do? This is most likely due to a ball jam. Before attempting to remove the jam, please make sure that the unit is powered off.
Why are balls falling short, even on high speed? It seems that this may be related to either the use of inconsistent or low quality balls or the angle of elevation is set too low. It is important to use premium quality balls of the same consistency to achieve optimal performance with Slinger Bag. We suggest using the Slinger Triniti Balls (by Wilson) as in our testing these have been the longest lasting and highest performing. You will each be receiving a complimentary case of 72 of these balls, if you have not already recieved them.
My Oscillator isn't rotating. Why? (1) Ensure that you have removed the plastic cover from the magnetic connector at the end of the cable. (2) Ensure that the magnetic connector on both the end of the Oscillator cable and on the Launcher control panel are free from dirt / dust. (3) Press "ON" for both the Launcher and Oscillator button on the remote control (4) The Oscillator will take 15 seconds to get powered up correctly before oscillation starts.(5) If, for any reason, these steps do not work please contact our support team at [email protected] for further assistance.
What is the price to purchase additional units? Slinger will be available to the general tennis playing public from July in the USA along with some other central European markets. We have recently launched an order site at https://order.slingerbag.com where Slinger can now be ordered for July delivery.

Shipping Update

Slingers,
As you may know the delivery of the Slinger product has been taking place across the USA - the market with the largest volume of backers. However things have been somewhat slowed down due to the global situation with the Coronavirus and its effect on us unloading units from our incoming containers. We had initially planned to complete all US deliveries by last week but are currently on track to complete delivery to the remaining US backers by the end of next week.
Please note that there is no problem or risk in using the Slinger Bag as far as the Coronavirus is concerned. The initial reviews coming back from those that have received the product is overwhelmingly positive and we cannot wait to hear feedback from all of our backers!
Based on the current information we have, below is the current delivery timetable for the rest of the world:
USA: all shipments will be completed by March 20
Canada: Product en route to Toronto to ship out from there. Shipments will take place starting 25 March.
EU: All shipments will commence next week around March 18 and be completed by April 5.
Asia: Many of these market deliveries have been impacted by the local Coronavirus situation. Currently estimated timing is as follows:
- Japan - shipments delayed due to legal requirement to modify remote radio frequency. Target delivery date is now the end April
- Hong Kong - shipment will be made week of April 1
- Australia - By Mid April
- Malaysia - by mid April
- All other markets: By end April
Please note that this can change as the situation changes around the world. Rest assured that we are doing all we can to minimise any further delay in getting Slinger into your hands.
